One of the things that Cody brings to the table with our decades of experience in municipal water projects is our ability to provide contractors with a complete package of all metals for the job. Unlike other fabricators who broker out these different items, Cody produces the majority of its products in its own 3 Austin facilities. Cody delivered $5 million worth of structural steel and miscellaneous metals for the Freeport Intake structure near Sacramento CA. This included over 500 tons of structural steel for the fish-shaped intake building, which was delivered ahead of schedule.
When this project opened, a California television station did a news story about it and their video shows many of our products. The fish shapes on top of the big pipes were cut out of stainless steel plate with a water jet cutter.
